排污泵因为作业环境相对恶劣复杂，若不注重日常养护，各类异常故障的发生概率相较其他泵类产品要高，发生锈蚀的排污泵往往开机困难，无法正常完成输运工作。

像这种情况只能通过拆泵后替换锈蚀严重的部件来恢复使用，而且发生锈蚀的部件如果十分严重，出现卡死情况，拆卸起来就会困难许多，可以通过加热的方式来降低拆卸难度，配合木锤敲击和一字螺丝刀进行撬，尽量避免硬拉，以防损坏泵体。根据实际锈蚀情况，还可考虑在锈蚀的间隙中滴入润滑油浸透片刻，可以进一步降低拆卸难度。

从以往的排污泵使用经验来看，通常是使用完毕后不排除积水，或者长时间存放在潮湿中导致的锈蚀。不锈钢排污泵并非不会生锈，只是相对于一般的钢铁而言，所能适应的环境更为广泛，但若存放或者日常保养不当，依然是有可能会生锈的。

在停用排污泵后及时排进泵内积液，如果一定时间内不会再使用，则尽量存放在清洁通风的环境中；

长时间不用的排污泵不要直接放置于液下不管，应当及时收纳后储存，减少电机受潮的机会，同时也减少受到锈蚀的概率；

定期检查排污泵的运行参数和各个组件的完好性，可有效预防异常工况的出现。
